Misterious panhandler

It was getting darker. I was sitting on a bench with my friend on a town square. It was an autumnal evening and it was really freezing, but we kept talking about our endless plans for the future. Suddenly, we saw a tiny woman approaching. She was all dressed in black, she’d put a hood on her head, so you couldn’t see her face. She asked us for money to buy food, because she claimed was starving. We were absolutely astonished when we saw her hands packed with a few really enormous rings that seemed to be pricey. I gave her some money because I feared the she would have gotten absolutely furious in case of my refusal. She went away very quickly. My friend was curious what she would do with the money, so we started following her. Her pace was very fast, so we soon got absolutely exhausted. Moreover, it was pouring with rain, so we were really foul.  All of a sudden, she turned round and saw us. It was absolutely terrifying.  In a glimpse, we could see her really hideous, deformed face. She panicked and walked into a nearby grocer’s shop. We returned home.
